This is an exceptional example of a mid-Victorian parquetry box inlaid with rosewood, satinwood, mahogany, birdseye maple and burr walnut. All the sides, including the interior wall of the lid, have been decorated with a ‘tumbling cube’ geometric design.
The interior of the box is lined with petrol blue velvet and matching silk.
The lock is fully working with its key.
The condition of the box is excellent both externally and internally.
