Dating from the late 1860’s, this antique jewellery box is veneered and cross-banded in Calamander with brass edging, ornate brass recessed side handles, and a central brass plate bearing the engraved monogram of the original owner.
The interior of the box, lined with green velvet and moiré silk, is fitted with a removable leather-bound jewellery tray. Beneath the tray is a leather and velvet-lined area, with a further full width compartment to the rear of the box.
The independently lockable lower drawer contains a large velvet-lined area and a full width ring/ cuff link channel.
Both Bramah locks share their original key.
Comes in excellent condition throughout.
