Dating from the late 1820’s, this antique document and jewellery box was manufactured and retailed by one of the finest English cabinet makers, Edwards. It is veneered in vibrant Brazilian Rosewood, edged in brass and finished with a Bramah lock.

The interior of the box, fitted with a large solid mahogany tray, is lined with deep red velvet and moiré silk.

Within the lid displays the gold-tooled maker’s mark of, ‘Edwards, Manufacturer to His Majesty. 21 King St Bloomsbury, London’.

The Bramah lock is fully working and comes with its original key.
