Dating from the mid-1830’s, this impressive French antique jewellery box is veneered in burr elm and inlaid with brass edging, strapping and recessed brass side handles.
The interior of the box is lined with purple velvet and Morocco leather. A compartmented solid mahogany tray can be removed to reveal an open velvet-lined area beneath.
The lock is fully working with its original key.
The condition of the box is excellent both externally and internally.
