Dating from the early-1830’s, this impressive antique jewellery box is veneered in calamander and inlaid with decorative perimeter brass.
The interior of the box is lined with burgundy velvet, moiré silk and Morocco leather. A compartmented leather-bound tray, with fitted sub-tray, can be removed to reveal an open lined area beneath.
The underside of the sub-tray bears the paper makers’ label for George Lawrence, 9 New Bond Street, London.
The Bramah lock is fully working with its original key.
The condition of the box is excellent both externally and internally.
