This antique jewellery box, dating from the 1870’s, is veneered in burr walnut with Indian ink accentuation; this was an artistic technique applied some walnut pieces during the 1870’s and 1880’s. The box is finished with brass edging, recessed brass side handles, and a Bramah lock.
The cushioned interior is lined with petrol blue velvet and edged with matching silk.
The Bramah lock is fully working and comes with its original Bramah key.
